Mount Lowe Railway Artifacts

A group of Mount Lowe artifacts acquired over the year by Vic McVey, including a piece of a railroad tie from either the Alpine Division or One Man and a Mule Railway, a reproduction of the Mount Lowe Railway / Pacific Electric Railway logo, a sample section of the OM&M Railway narrow gauge track, a railroad spike, a piece of the overhead trolley wire, a square nail and copper wire.

  1. The “trolley wire”
    appears to be a railbond that connected two adjacent pieces of rail to assure completion of the circuit. Most probably knocked off the rails to permit picking them up for salvage
